I'm trying to decide if my getting more politically active lately is a new thing, or simply something that was interrupted years ago coming back out. I mean, while it's odd for me to actually do things like yesterday's rally, it's actually not the first time. It's just the first time on a larger scale. (I may have pulled a Rosa Parks in the fifth grade in response to the teacher's method of handling the boys talking in line issue. I may have also inadvertently convinced several other members of my class to follow suit. They wouldn't stop talking, we were going to be walking the halls all day. I refused to be punished because they didn't want to go back to class, and sat down at my desk. When the teacher demanded I get back in line, I refuse on the grounds that I hadn't done anything wrong and would not accept the punishment for something I didn't do. Several classmates realized this was good logic and sat down. My parents were called.) One of my friends just reminded me of this.

I may be amused.
