Nov. 2nd, 2010 11:58 amCharming. Nothing like finding out the hard way (yet again) one more major difference between the state I'm from, and the one I've ended up in. In NH, when you move to a different town and update your registration in the system, you check a little box that asks you "Do you want to change your voter registration?" and that is also updated in the various systems.
Apparently in Mass. it's an entirely separate thing that involves mail and/or going to the Town Hall to deal with. Oh, and you need to make sure you do it A MONTH BEFORE ELECTIONS.
It also doesn't help that you can't ask a question that you don't know you need to ask.
So, yeah. Looks like I don't get to vote, because I'm not registered to vote here in Pepperell, because I didn't know I needed to do something else, and I didn't know it before October 13th.
*snarl*
