Dammit. The Borders in Nashua, where the boy and I hide from the summer and occasionally go to just to get out of the house and have a cup of coffee while peering at books is one of the ones slated to be closed. The list of closing stores is here.

Guess it's Barnes & Noble and their crappy coffee and tiny tables now. *sigh*

Bummer. I was hoping that one would stay open. Such a great cafe staff, they'd have live music sometimes, and it was such a great place to hang out.

The staff is awesome, and I'm REALLY going to miss being able to just go and hang out for half the day (or night). B&N's coffee is awful (NOT a Starbucks fan), and the nearest cafe/bookstore I know of otherwise is the one that opened on 38 in Tewksbury. Looks nice, but it's not exactly what I'd considered local.
