The problem lies, really, in how to make something from nothing. Not being a god, this makes the task a little more difficult.

So, I'm going to be starting an experiment in the next few days/week or so with regards to my little Nanoartmo project. This is going to have a daily posting component. (I have a longer post that will be posted eventually that explains my nefarious plan a little better.) So, my question, dear readers, is this: Do I start a new blog specifically geared toward this plan, or do I work with what I've already got?

Ok, so I lied on always putting this under a cut. I don't want to on this one, because I want this open to the world.

I figured out something. I do, in fact, know precisely what I want to do with my life. I want to do everything. I want to do what I want, go where I want, see what I want to see, sip, taste, touch, hear every little bit of this Life that there is, and I want to be supported, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and (this is the hardest and most crucial part of this whole plan) financially.

I want to explore hidden forests; sip coffee at sidewalk cafes and watch the people and make up stories of who they are, where they are going, what they are doing; I want to stand in the desert under the full moon and listen to the coyotes tell each other wild stories and lies; I want to have drinks in pubs in Ireland and hear the stories the locals tell; I want to sleep between the paws of the Sphinx; I want to photograph the wild roses that grow on the train tracks in Lowell; I want to study the jewelry-making techniques of the small, dark women in Mexico; I want to learn the ways of the old Voodoo woman in the swamps of New Orleans; I want to watch a thunderstorm from the deck of a boat in Novia Scotia.

I want to do every last thing I can fit into whatever time I have allotted to me in this life, and I don't want to waste it trapped in a little box, away from the sun, doing NOTHING of note or use or good. I don't want to be niched, or pigeon-holed, or tied to anything. As Calvin once said "Happiness isn't good enough for me! I demand euphoria!"

I want to be paid to do this.

Dear Universe, please help me do this, okay? Thanks! ~'phoenix.

‎"The difference between an opportunity and an obstacle is your attitude." (requoted by my friend, Kacy Elyzabeth on FB this morning.)

That, along with a quote from my grandfather, has been going through my head today. "There's no such thing as 'can't'. There's only 'won't' or 'don't know how'."

Important things to ponder. Especially on a day that stands for 42.
